Among the legal representatives representing previous President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial submitted a claim versus the previous president over his citizen scams claims, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Philadelphia attorney Michael van der Veen took legal action against Trump in 2015, stating his claims about mail-in citizen scams were made with “no proof in assistance” of them, according to The Post report.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, van der Veen represented a customer who submitted a claim versus Trump ahead of the 2020 election, implicating him and his administration of reducing mail-in ballot by reorganization efforts in the United States Postal Service.
